The Delta DVP04TC S Input Module is capable of reading and writing data using instructions “from/to” through DVP-PLC SX/SC/SS/SA MPU program. In terms of communication, the DVP04TC S operates in RS-485 mode, specifically in MODBUS ASCII/RTU mode. The RS-485 communication is turned off when the DVP04TC S is linked in a row with an MPU. There are six baud rate options for communication. In ASCII mode, the data format is seven bits with even parity and one stop bit, while in RTU mode, the data format is eight bits with even parity and one stop bit.

Each DVP04TC S module contains 49 Control Registers (CR), with each register having 16 bits. The module is compatible with both Centigrade and Fahrenheit temperature scales, with a resolution of 0.1 degrees for Centigrade and 0.18 degrees for Fahrenheit. Additionally, the DVP04TC S thermocouple sensor can be updated with new software versions via RS-485 communication.
